At our Annual Champagne Social on Sun. Jan. 5, 2020, in the Fellowship Room at First Grantham United Church, we raised glasses of bubbly to ring in the New Year!
Members brought festive treats, and as always, spouses and partners were welcome at this event.
We appreciated the much needed, unopened, non-perishable food items that members brought for donation to Community Care.
Thank you to all who attended to help start our year off right!
Many thanks to the executive team who organized a wonderful night of fun and togetherness! The holiday buffet was delicious, the music was just right, and the atmosphere at the Port Dalhousie Yacht Club was warm, festive and friendly.
2nd ANNUAL NEWCOMERS MARKET GALLERY, at a new venue, to benefit the Alzheimer’s Society. On Thursday, November 14th, any member who had something to showcase had a table for free. We displayed our handmade wares: paintings, jewellery, quilts, knitted items, baking and other handmade Christmas gifts, and published books. 15% of sales were given to benefit Alzheimer’s research. Coffee and tea and goodies were enjoyed at the new location: Harbour Fellowship Church – 51 South Service Road, (off Martindale a the QEW), St. Catharines. We contributed to a good cause!
Our October outing was a tour of the Museum given by our own Louise Steele. We spent an hour at this fascinating centre, followed by lunch at nearby George’s Greek Village.
On a rainy October evening, a fun time was had by all, with dinner and mingling. A great way to meet the newbies, let's do it again!

At this year's A.G.M., we enjoyed a tantalizing array of pot luck dishes and a selection of wines. Once again, our barrel was filling up with donations to Community Care. We welcomed the new Executive for 2019-2020 with Brenda at the helm, and bid a fond farewell to Barb, now our past-president. Many thanks to Barb for all her hard work over the past 2 years! Also stepping down after 3 years on the Executive were Kathy and Sharon. We depend on all of the executives' contributions and diligence to keep our club running smoothly, and kudos to you all for stepping up!.
